Lower your cholesterol by 10%*
Nuttelex Pulse is a tasty spread enriched with natural plant sterols that actively lower cholesterol absorption. In fact, research has shown that the plant sterols contained in Nuttelex Pulse can help reduce your cholesterol by up to 10% in just three weeks*.
What are plant sterols?
Nuttelex Pulse contains plant sterols which occur naturally in small amounts in plant foods we eat every day. They are found in nuts and seeds, vegetable oils, grains and vegetables. Plant sterols have the same function in plants as cholesterol has in animals and humans, so their structure is very similar.
The plant sterols in Nuttelex Pulse are obtained from vegetable oils.
How do they work?
Scientists have found that plant sterols, like those in Nuttelex Pulse, can lower our cholesterol absorption from food. But not only the cholesterol from food — they also prevent the re–absorption of cholesterol within the body.
As the structure of plant sterols is very similar to cholesterol, plant sterols can block the entrance of cholesterol from the gut into the bloodstream. The cholesterol that is not absorbed is removed from the body. As a result, lower levels of cholesterol circulate in our system.
